Ralph van Raat took his degrees both as a pianist and musicologist in Amsterdam and continued his studies a.o. with Ursula Oppens in Chicago and Pierre-Laurent Aimard in Cologne. He has been a soloist with the Dutch Radio Phillharmonic Orchestra, Radio Symphony Orchestra Frankfurt, Residentie Orkest The Hague, and BBC Symphony Orchestra (in the BBC Proms series) and has performed at important international festivals such as the Holland Festival and Tanglewood Festival...
Camerata RCO is a young ensemble comprising musicians from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. The ensemble was founded in order to expand their shared orchestral experiences further into the realm of chamber music. Thanks to flexible instrumentation, the entire breadth of the literature from baroque to contemporary can be explored.
Alma String Quartet
The recently formed Alma String Quartet is made up of passionate players from The Netherlands’ top two orchestras, The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra. Their goal is to inspire and connect with a wide-ranging audience through the intimate, and ideal medium of chamber music. Of similar importance is the exploration of alternative venues, together with unconventional combinations outside the usual concert format.
